Proverb 1:"Glass, china, and reputation are easily cracked and never well meanded"
The proverb is talking about a person's repuation. Once you put yourself in a bad situation and people
start looking at you differently, its hard to fix. In relation to the glass it is very similar. Once you
break glass, it can't be put back togther.
Proverb 2:"A Lie stands on 1 leg, Truth on 2"
This proverb is describing a lie that is always shaky and can't be trusted. A person that stands on one leg is unstable
and not self confident.A person that stands on two legs is very stable and self- confidnet,and can be always trusted.

"He does not possess wealth; it possesses him."
This phrase states that when one is wealthy it gets to the best of them and they get full of themselves or they hide behind their wealth thinking its the best thing in the world. I feel this way because for example, you can have all the money and jewels in the world but if you don't have a companion, you'll still feel lonely. Or another example is when people put themselves on another level than others because of what they own. They won't associate with others because there not wealthy enough or good enough.

I feel like the author of this phrase meant that you can break a glass, glue it back together, but it will still have those cracks. Just like somebody's emotions or in this case, reputation, you can hurt someone, physically or mentally, but those hurtful things will leave a crack that even if "glued" will still be there.

Proverb 1: “There will be sleeping enough in the grave”

I think that this is a very true statement. I think so because when you’re alive, you have so much to do that you don’t have time to sleep until you’ve lived your life and are dead. When you’re dead it’s the only time you are actually sleeping. I can relate to this statement because I had an uncle who did almost everything in his life. He died a few years ago and my grandmother would say “ he’s finally sleeping”.  I never understood that, but now I do.

I think this statement is really relatable to teenagers. I think that because a lot of teens do things that ruin their reputation and  it is hard to get back, just like broken glass. Once your reputation is cracked even a little bit, it can be hard to regain the respect you’ve lost. That’s why I think teens can relate to this because a lot of teens have trouble mending the “cracks” of their reputation. I can relate to this because one I’m a teenager and also because I’ve had friends who’s reputation has been ruined and they are still struggling with it.

I feel that this proverb is very meaningful and I can go on about it for days but I won't. This statement is very true to an extent. When someone gets a little money it changes them COMPLETLEY (majority of people), thats why people say money is the root to all evil. You can be the poorest man/woman alive and as soon as that money hits your pocket you turn into a self-centered manic. As soon as you get the wealth, the money burns a hole in your pocket and your eyes get bigger than your conscious. That's my perspective on that proverb and how I feel about it.

"Be ashamed to catch yourself idle."
This proverb is my favorite in the "Poor Richard Almanac." It's saying never find yourself slacking and not doing anything. You should always be moving foward and always have your mind set on a goal. If your not willing to get the job done, ALWAYS rememeber there is someone who is. The reason I like this proverb so much is because I want to make something of my life. I want to be THE man, the talk of the town, the guy EVERYONE looks up too, the guy with the big house and nice shiny car outside of it. That's why this proverb is my favorite and I can use it in my life everyday to keep myself dedicated and motivated.

"He does not possess wealth, it possess him."
For people who do not know how to handle it, wealth can become a very powerful and influential force.This lifestyle inspires two types of people. The first being the kind, philanthropic, and socially and politically active. These people use their money to help and improve the world. The next type of person is greedy, self-absorbed, and withdrawn. They are only concerned about themselves and their money and become obsessed with their wealth.

"There'll be sleeping enough in the grave"
This proverb is just saying straight forward, live your life to it's fullest. You don't have much time while your alive and you need to make the most out of it. Life is short and you can rest when it is over and live it up now.

       I think that proverb is completely true. You should use your time wisely while your alive. I personally sleep way too much and i shouldnt when thats all im going to be doing when im dead.

"Fish and visitors smell in three days." 

          Its funny but also extremely relatable. Fish begin to smell after three days and you sure do know when its time for your visitor to leave after three days. When they first get there its fine, then you just get tired of them and want your house back to normal.

 The proverb I chose is "Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead.". I think that this means that if you have a secret and you share it with someone, there going to tell someone else. The only way you can keep a secret is if you keep it to yourself. If you tell a secret to someone there going to tell someone and trust that there not going to tell anyone, and its going to keep going until everyone hears about it.

         The second proverb is "'Tis hard for an empty bad to stand up straight." To me this means that if you don't compliment people and talk to them, they aren't going to have any confidence and aren't going to stand up and be proud. I feel that if you make fun of someone and do not treat them with respect, that they aren't going to believe in themselves and aren't going to stand up for anything they want. Personally when I'm in a bad mood or someone says something to me that is rude I'm not always going to be happy and stand up straight. Im going to look like a bum and I'm not going to care.
