My ordeal by cheque by Mia Sapienza

One morning, Laurence Exeter, a highly educated man and his wife Mrs. Exeter arrived at the Baby Shoppe. Mrs. Exeter, Almost 9 months pregnant loved shopping for her new baby that was on its way. That day at the shoppe, she convinced her husband that she needed clothing for the baby and a crib. Although Mr. Exeter would had rather saved his money for other things, he graciously agreed to buy anything for there new baby. Just 14 days after, Mr. and Mrs. Exeter went on a walk to get some fresh air, when all of a sudden her water broke. They hopped quickly in the car and frantically drove to "Hollywood Hospital". As soon as the baby was born, both parents who were very excited decided they should name there baby Laurence Exeter Jr. Although they were happy about there newborn, they had received some bad news that there child would undergo major surgery on his heart. Birth Defects were something that there midwife "Daisy Windsor" always warned them about. Except they got so sick of her telling them that having wine and a cigarettes every night was bad for the baby, so they told her to leave. About a month later They paid Dr. David McCoy $475.00 dollars to perform the surgery. After a successful recovery Mr. Exeter was so very proud of his son, and bought him all the toys in the world to last him through grade school. Years went by and Jr seemed to have good and bad days, he was also enrolled in School for Boys on October 6th 1909. His father also purchased him a brand new bicycle so he could ride to school and back. One day as he was walking through the playground a student started to taunt him and call him names(this student was very jealous of him and his new bike, which his father wouldn't get him for Christmas that year). Very hurt and angered Jr ran into the kid, and knocked out about four teeth! You would had never of guessed Jr would do such a thing. His parents were so entirely shocked about his behavior and decided he should be sent to military school right away. 18 years old, Jr. returns home and reunites with his parents. His father felt sincere about acting so harsh on him that he promised him a new $3,885 Cadillac. Jr, not used to driving drove into a tree which had cost his dad an extra $288 fixing from "Wilshire Auto Repair Service". Mr. Exeter was very understanding yet, he told his son that he must attend Stanford University like he did. His father always wanted a son to follow in his foot steps. But as soon as his father tried to enroll him in the school "Miss Daisy Windsor" randomly sued Mr. Exeter for 25,000 dollars for kicking her out as a midwife and not giving her all the money she worked for. Of course Miss Windsor got her way, and she won the case. Mr. Exeter was very upset about not sending his son to Stanford, so he sent him to France on vacation to get away from the chaos at home. While Jr. Vacationed in France he met a nice lady named Annabelle, who was absolutely stunning. She had such natural beauty and all the latest trends and clothing. So in order for him to win her heart he wrote his father and asked him if he would be willing to send him a check book so he could woo her away, graciously his father agreed. He rushed to the University Club Florist and bought the most expensive flowers and sent them out to Annabelle. After an entire 3 weeks fling with Miss Annabelle, he proposed, asking nothing but her heart. She said ...YES! But...only if he gave her a beautiful home to live in and very nice decor. And Jr. obviously didn't mind, since the money for everything wasn't coming out of his paycheck. They Flew back to Jr's home to announce the news and also to buy one very exquisite home. His father also told his son to use his paycheck and buy Annabelle a ring from "Beverly Diamond Gift Shoppe", which came to a total of $678 dollars! After the wedding The two love birds went on a honey moon for a cruise in Hawaii...thanks to Mr. Exeter. Not only had his father gave him everything he asked for he also graciously gave his son 200,000 dollars to start off with a good life. But it didn't take Jr. long to become very selfish and greedy. He acted very different around his wife and both parents, some people also talked about him having a possible affair?! But would a man so in love with money also be in love with other things that were less important to him at the time? The answer was yes...he had been having a affair with a woman two weeks after the honey moon. Giving her not only what some might say "pleasure" but gifts. Gifts from the "University Club Florists" and "Coconut Grove Sweet Shoppe". This woman's name was Eliza, she wasn't a particular "woman" per-say, some might call her a.... uh..."lady of the night". He was so devoted to her and would buy her all sorts of things from many clothing stores as well as "Anita lingerie Salon". He decided to spend the night with Eliza, and when he thought everything was alright... Annabelle walked in. "Oh my!!! Jr is that you?!" said Annabelle. "That's it... i want a divorce!" she said, running out of the room in tears. And there was Jr. speechless, embarrassed and ashamed. He spent his days trying to woo his wife back and make her want him again, because he was very sorry and understood he was guilty. After much thinking Annabelle had told him to go see a local therapist for help before he tries to apologize. So he does, Tony Spagoni had offered Jr Three sessions of therapy for $126 dollars each, he agreed. But it didn't last Jr. very long until he realized he became irritated trying to fix his problems and continued with his affair. Except now he was even worse, he had brought a third lady into the love triangle, her name was Miss Flossie, who was again not an actual "lady". Except Flossie was one of the smarter ones out of the bunch and conned Jr into giving her 50,000 dollars for her to stay. And just what do you know, Jr had agreed. Annabelle also filed for a divorce, in which Jr had no say in whatsoever, Nor did he really want a say in the marriage at this point. The court also granted Miss Annabelle $5,000 from Jr for other problems during there marriage. Jr had been so depressed that he drove to Vegas for a trip, but only made it so far until he got caught drinking and driving, he was fined $52. He wasn't only causing stress for himself, his dad had been very worried. So in order to try and help Jr, Mr. Exeter gave his wife a 175,000 dollar check to do what ever she wanted for her birthday, if he could go away with Jr. His father thought of ways to make him happy so he decided to buy Jr another one of his favorite Cadillac's. But even the car didn't make him happy, his days became so emotional for him that he couldn't handle any more of it. He tried one more thing to save him from complete depression, and that was to go back to therapy at least two more times to see if things would lighten up. He paid Tony Spagoni his last payments and also Peter Ventizzi a student therapist who sat in with Jr and Tony during there sessions. Nothing was ever going to help Jr out of all of his problems in life his depression was to bad that his heart just began to fail every day. On July 5th Laurence Exeter Jr was rushed to Hollywood Hospital. Doctors were very worried and noticed his heart getting slower and his body getting weaker. He also became unconscious and suddenly fell into a coma. Then on July 15th Dr. David McCoy found him dead on his daily checkup, he was not responding. This would now be the end of Jr's days, and his family was very sad for the rest of there days. Jr was buried at Hollywood Mortuary the next day, and that was all.
The end.

  1. Mia- Great plot twist with Daisy being a midwife. That never crossed my mind. Next time, remember to divide your story into paragraphs. Also, watch your capitalization and punctuation. Keep up the hard work!
